The weapon jack uses in this reminds me of those sticky hand things you would get from those Gacha machines in restraints and malls.

Regarding the game not telling you about the Pumpkin King form, it actually does bring it up in the cutscene after Jack saves Sally from the giant spider, where Jack remembers that he is the Pumpkin King, and he gets the idea to use his "Pumpkin Fire" to fight Oogie's Army, which unlocks the new form afterwards. Plus, there should've been some small tutorials in the chapter after the spider boss that popped up when you press the select button, all of which tell you what the Pumpkin King can do.

Btw the Exclamation Marks, since you were wondering-
You get these marks from sneaking up & scaring enemies, and it fazes them for a second acts like a stun. You have to surprise them to get the marks though- like from behind, or turning around to face them right when they're behind you. at least that's what I remember 🎃😊

I've been contemplating doing a long play for this just because I didn't see a whole lot of playthroughs. It took me a long time to set up the specs for 60 fps on the emulator. This was 2 years ago.

I love the storyline of the game of Oogie being brought back by Lock, Shock and Barrel and becoming 7 Holidays King. It really adds more character to Oogie, Lock, Shock and Barrel.
