I really do not miss the old caves and the old mob generation. Say what you will about recent updates but the Caves and Cliffs update was phenomenal. And I love the new light level changes.

The best way to get emeralds in Minecraft is a Fletcher villager trade with sticks

to stop iron golems spawning on ur island use slabs for 7/9 blocks around the farm or use shovel to make path blocks

WOW Hi & to kill the gloms get on a 3 block stack of blocks & hit them from above them. They can not hit you when you are 3 blocks above them.& they are way to close to your village. you must build any Iron farm at least 64 blocks or more away from all villages. your Iron farm is way to close to your village.

you could move iron farm out onto water to stop golems spawning its very close to other villagers

You can double your dirt by combining it with gravel to make coarse dirt. Hoe it to make farm, then dig it up. Double what you started with!
