The reason property crimes are relatively low in Jackson is that there is nothing there worth stealing.

@Briggs:

One additional piece of information I would recommend that you consider including is information relating to water utilities. For example, one really should not consider buying a home in Jackson, since the urban water supply is unsafe.

Thank for your vids. Lived in Rochester for several years before my employer left U of R for Emery University in Atlanta in the 90's... It was just as Kodak and Xerox were having big layoffs. We were all worried about the City's future. Was hard hit. Have seen more recently how suburbs are huge and growing now, where there used to be huge tracks of farmland (Python, anyone😆) But I think some of the footage you used wasn't Rochester... Maybe Pittsburgh? Anyway, much love to ya Briggs, from a subscriber near Honesdale. I'll stop typing now❤

I used to live in Houston and as the city grows, it gets worse. The traffic, sprawl, lack of mass transit. In the past, city councilmen used to say that Houston didn’t need mass transit because we have the automobile, and the automobile represents freedom; the freedom to go anywhere, anytime without waiting for a bus or train like they do in com’nist countries. Yes, the weather takes getting used to, without a/c, forget it. My wife grew up without a/c and she said it was miserable. No, I’m not moving back.

Funny thing is I’m considering a move from St. Louis to Houston. The only good thing about living here is how enjoyable it is to visit other cities and realize how much safer literally every city in the country is than ours. Having property stolen or being in a hit and run accident are rights of passage

As a resident of Syracuse, I started getting nervous when you listed literally every surrounding major city and shit-talked the snow. I guess we're still the last best hope of Upstate/Central New York

When I visited Chicago last year, the view from my hotel had a view of Lake Michigan, but there was also a giant cloud of smog in the sky out in the distance, and I IMMEDIATELY knew it was Gary.

A cheap mortgage is nice but living in a nice place is even nicer! Thank you for the video!

I'm a former OTR driver and I occasionally had to deal with St. Louis so I'm not at all surprised to find it on this list. St. Louis is so badly run down that if a tornado hit it, I don't think anybody would be able to tell where it hit.
I pretty much only drove through Jackson and sometimes spent the night at the flying j there but other than that I didn't deal with the place but Some of my former neighbors are from Jackson. I never heard anything good about it from them.
I can't imagine living anywhere in the southeast, especially around the Gulf Coast region without air conditioning.

St.Louis being rated 4th reminded me of the scene in “National Lampoon Vacation” where Chevy Chase and family were driving through St. Louis, got lost and asked for directions. Then a group of thugs stole his hub caps. Just like many big cities St. Louis is plagued by high taxes, high crime, and bad political leadership.

Sorry to hear about Anchorage. Anchorage may be dying out, but don't be afraid to visit Alaska.The Last Frontier State should be on your bucket list. I never felt unsafe walking around the downtown area during the day. Anchorage is a great place to start and finish your Alaska journey. Visit Seward, Homer, or Soldotna only a few hours south. Or go 5 hours up to Denali National Park. Alaska is massive.

Nick Johnson did an entire video on Jackson, Mississippi. Truly 3rd World conditions right here in the USA. It surely belongs on the list.
