NEVER use brush or similar things to clean coil fins as they'll damage them. Either use plain water with soap in a bottle to spray on the fins, or buy a coil cleaner from any AC repair shop.
And you don't have to do as deep a clean as is shown in this video. Don't touch the fan or other parts. Just clean the coil (preferably with coil cleaner) and that's it.
