Deer in winter, always hang around harvester machines. They are not afraid of the loud giant machines, but as soon as a operator steps out of the cab, they're gone. They're there for the tops to eat.

We can handle 117-120 humid temps in the summer and maybe a day of freezing temps in winter but for us, this current winter mess is brutal!!

Got where I was carrying my bang stick with me in the excavator when I was out clearing on our property and the season was open. The times I did I didn’t see anything. Yesterday ( our season is over now) I saw several within range. They could care less about me on that excavator lol

Its never a good day to cut firewood. I love the outdoors but the "joy of woodcutting " was ruined when i was a kid. My dumbass step dad always waited until we were out and it was frigid. I swore as a kid i wouldn't burn wood when i grow up not to mention our wood stove almost killed us one night when it burned down our house when we were all sleeping. Ran out of the house in my underwear with my two younger brothers as the flames ran across the ceiling. Our dog alerted us and saved our lives. This was 50 years ago.
