The New Avengers have a Major Problem…

Avengers Doomsday & Secret wars are going to be the next infinity war and endgame, but can it possibly live up to those 2 mcu films? #marvel

Robert Downey jr. might not be everybody’s ideal pick, but at the end of the day he’s what marvel needs to keep people watching

I think an avengers film before the big 2 would be a perfect way to establish the new team and build their camaraderie if we were to do so i think kang being the villain would be perfect to wrap up his story in an great way and be able to pivot towards doctor doom as the main villain

In all seriousness, captain america 4 should have done the same ss the prior sequel. Not as in a battle, but we could have easily got hulk in it, maybe bucky and I could easily see some street level heroes being able to fit in

While not ideal, my only hope is that the Russo brothers can clutch up and give us two masterpieces for avengers doomsday and secret wars, like they did with endgame and infinity war. The only problem is that they have practically squat to work with at the moment (that could change), so each of these movies would have to have a LOT of character building on TOP of the exposition to Doctor Doom’s grand scheme. I’m worried, but the Russo brothers have never missed yet when it comes to marvel, so I got hope.

You're very right on the Avengers not really having chemistry with each other (perhaps thor & hulk and thor & strange?), but the Avengers and Thunderbolts can have some moments:

Bucky, Sam & US Agent

I think they should do a Disney plus show called new avengers and have all of them meet up

I'm also fine with RDJ as Doctor Doom but if I had to chose anyone else I would have chosen my first choice Cillian Murphy

I totally agree with you this is why they should have made a smaller Avengers movie with these chartaters such as a Avenger Secret Invasion movie or just make a movie where they fight Kang and his variants.

I feel like the main characters in doomsday will be the fantastic 4, thunderbolts, the spidermen and maybe deadpool/wolverine. I am pretty sure I have sene somewhere that between doomsday and secret wars there will be movies set in the battleworld so we could see the characters unite there (as well as the previous solo films before doomsday) before secret wars

Plus doctor doom is plan B. They didn't plan this they were going with kang and that's what's concerning me

So far the biggest issue is the fact that in less than 2 years we got an Avengers villain so big that he's going to be in 2 Avengers movies and rn the people actually in an Avengers team is Ms Marvel and Kate Bishop. They really didn't give themselves a lot of time to build this new Avengers team up, unless their plan is RDJ's Doom vs Ms Marvel and Kate Bishop.

I think they should have brought back the she hulk director back, and get the amount of comedy we experienced in the blockbuster Thor 4

Don't forget that there was no build up to Doctor Doom unlike Thanos, and a lot of people will not know what is happening or have a conncetion wirh some of the characters because they didn't watch everything, which is near impossible to do now.

I 100% agree with the point about needing smaller scale team ups before the next avengers but at the same time you can imagine marvel seeing that as a risk after infinity war and endgame were seen to have set the standard for an avengers movie, they might’ve thought audiences would be disappointed if the next avengers wasn’t on the same scale. I di think they can still save it tho, tbh one of the best dynamics in infinity war was Thor and the guardians, characters that had never met prior to that movie, so maybe the same could happen with Shang chi, the new captain America and the fantastic 4

I agree that we need some movies with the new Avengers before we get another massive two part event but since MCU phase 4 is an unfixable mess Marvel is probably desperate so maybe that is why they are trying to rush towards Avengers Doomsday and Secret Wars (thanks alot Fiege)

Ok the New Avengers team up with Sam, Kamala, Capt Marvel, Ant Man and Wasp has happened in that Marvel Cruise thing. The chemistry felt solid there. But yeah, it should happen atleast once on the big screen as well otherwise the ultimate team up will feel super rushed

You're 100% right. Keep in mind that some of these characters have never even been mentioned since they're debut. Kate bishop and shang chi were introduced like 3 years ago at this point and we haven't gotten any updates on them since
