@lewisfroom But ain't there a way for the phone to sense when you're bout to pick it up so it creates a virtual border so there's no interferences and then when you put it back on the table it goes full screen and the borders disappear

@MsAlvoO It's a concept. I'm sure if apple really take this design, they gonna do something on the back. Like a better grip to hold it.

But this concept can still work. When you hold your tablet you touch both sides of it. Imagine if back of it would be touch sensitive. It would recognize hand youre holding tablet and ignore your thumb touching touchscreen :D What do you think about it?

It's possible with a smart "hand anti-interfered" software.
Only problem?
It is very fragile.
