Webinar session on "Introduction to Blockchain Development". Learn what is blockchain, solidity, Ethereum, smart contracts and much more.
Blockchain is a peer-to-peer decentralized distributed ledger that permanently & chronologically records and guarantees an immutable, unalterable trustworthy transaction(of money or any valuable asset) in a trust-less environment through consensus protocol secured by cryptography with economically incentivized participation.

Smart contracts are self-operating computer program that automatically executes when specific conditions are met.
Solidity is an object-oriented, high-level language for implementing smart contracts. Smart contracts are programs that govern the behavior of accounts within the Ethereum state.
Types of Blockchain:
Public/Permission-less
Private/Permissioned
Hybrid/Consortium
Blockchain layers: 1) Protocol Layer: Programming language, Computing Resources, Consensus, Type, Frameworks.
2) Network Layer: Miner, Nodes, Read/Write Access, Complexity, Data Storage, Government Regulations, Technology Integration
3) Application Layer: Applications or Clients, Laws and Condition of System, Users, UI/UX Specs, Stakeholders
Blockchain has six fundamental properties:
1) It is distributed
2) Encrypted with cryptography
3) Keeps history
4) Immutable
5) Public
6) Uses any currency or token for value transfer.
Web 1.0, is just a set of static websites with a load of information and no interactive content.
Web 2.0, the global sharing of information spawned the age of Social Media. YouTube, Wikipedia, Flickr, and Facebook gave the voiceless and means for like-minded communities to thrive.
Web 3.0, rather than concentrating the power(and data) in the hands of huge behemoths with questionable motives, it would be returned to the rightful owners.
Decentralization was the idea, blockchain was the means.
