The only “better html” is the one that is remade from the ground up without any regard for legacy naming and old traditions.
Clean, simple, understandable naming of things. And only a small set of ways to accomplish what you want like centering stuff.

HTML == Hypertext Markup Language, so it's a "markup" language like xml; it's not a programming language because it's not executable. In order for html to be useful, a programming language such as javascript is needed. Javascript interprets the html and it's the javascript that executes.

*1.* As others have pointed out, HTML is not a programming language.
*2.* Not only HTMX is not a programming language either, but it's not even a language to begin with, it's a library.
*3.* Enabling new devs to avoid learning e.g. basic vanilla JS seems like a bad idea to me (but that's a matter of opinion I reckon).
*4.* If you need yet another library for stuff other thoroughly tested libraries already do for decades now, then you're _probably_ doing it wrong...
