President Vladimir Putin has stated that Russia plans to station tactical nuclear weapons in neighboring Belarus.

Putin told state broadcaster Russia 1, Moscow will complete the construction of a special storage facility for tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus by the beginning of July.

Belarus which is located west of Russia and shares a long northern border with Ukraine, is considered one of Moscow's closest allies. In February 2022, it played a significant role in helping Russia launch its initial invasion of Ukraine by allowing Kremlin troops to enter the country from the north.

Since the early 1990s, Belarus has not possessed any nuclear weapons on its territory. After gaining independence following the collapse of the Soviet Union, the country agreed to transfer all Soviet-era weapons of mass destruction stationed within its borders to Russia.

It is also important to note that Iskander-M system has been sent to the country in Dec which can be used as delivery medium.

In this video Defense Updates analyzes why the Russian transfer of tactical nuke-armed Iskander-M in Belarus is a big escalation?

The western and NATO only need two F22raptor to take care of all of those nuclear missiles

How about doing a video about Russian spending on maintenance of their nuclear arsenal and how much of the budgeted funds were actually spent on that purpose instead of building the officers in charge spiffy new dachas?

🤔 But the real question is will it work?

The only reason I can see for doing this, is they think that if used (in support of Russian efforts), then Russia may claim no accountability and any retaliation will be directed at Belarus.

you have longer range weapons like space force and those aircraft carriers

Let me paint a picture, 1 highly accurate warhead assigned to every (Air, Sea, Train and Road) port of entry, every shipyard and significant military Facility and mil Factory... this still leaves plenty for all the Major city and infrastructure. and if they really want to support this we still have a few for Belarus ... put that in your pipe and smoke-it.

All I can say is that missile is going to be a game changer. Why cause of how fast it is. Mach 6-7 is too fast for any air defense systems. Rip Ukraine.

You must be High if you believe that we can fight Russia and China at the same time.

With the technical complexities you're describing, and ascribing to that missile, there is no way that Russian garbage is going to perform as intended, any more than the rest of the Russian military or its equipment! But you can expect it to Nuke the launch crew quite satisfactorily I'm sure! Or perhaps lukashenko if we're fortunate

The US has over 100 tactical nukes stored in UK, Germany, Italy, Turkey, Belgium and Denmark. So what’s the fuss about Russia storing tactical nukes in Belarus? I think it’s a good deterrent from NATO directly entering the Ukraine conflict.

But even most of the tactical nukes are more powerful than what we dropped on Japan

The big lie is that they’ve already use these weapons in the past two months in the Ukraine and they’re just not telling anybody everybody knows it’s already happened
