sometimes foreigners thinks that local seller is a scammer and they cant give a price they want so they have no choice but to sell it low.so i dont think 1500 is expensive for a real pearl.

Please, when you visit the Philippines and sellers like this man explains the price of his products like that, they mean it. I hope people understand that visiting a 3rd world country, there will be people who are desperate for money so they could survive and that is why sometimes we just have to be kind and just give them blessings. If you already see someone selling something on the streets then know that they really work hard to make a living so please refrain from always bargaining because at the end they will be the one at loss since they have no choice but to sell it to you with the price you want just so they could still profit something somehow. We and the sellers could both be happy when we enjoy what we buy from them and by helping them and them be happy as well because they got to sell something. OFC be sensitive and know the obvious when people try to scam you or raise the price for you because you’re a visitor or a foreigner but this case was different.💯

I understand both sides of this. I’m a 26 year old American married to a Filipina. We have been living in Cebu for about 2.5 years now. The 350 for this pearl is very cheap, but the problem is not all vendors are this honest. Most of them I run into are asking 3-4X the price my wife gets. The scammers ruin it for the honest.

Real pearl is expensive too in your country so in the philippines too!! In your country pearl is triple or 10x price than the price in the philippines!!

440 is minimum price per pearl, plus chain ok 500 is enough, mahirp lang manguha, kaya pag bumababa p 500 lugi n masyado.

You know what ₱1500 is actually a very very good price, in other country it's most likely very expensive.The only problem about tourists is they thought every vendors is scammer, the hardworking guy gave you a good price, mostly in other vendors it's ₱2500+, why? Because those pearls are so hard to find and taked years to hatch those pearls from its shelf.I think the vendor give you that price (the ₱350) one because he doesn't have enough money.
