What an awesome story and what wonderful faith your children have in their Father in heaven.
I think sometimes as adults, we forget that God does care about things we care about. Sometimes the answer is "No" or "Not right now" but I'm glad this story and your testimony reminds me (and each of us) that God is a Father and He really does love us!

when I went to FSY the session director said "God loves you, he wants you to trust him" I find this so beautiful because as he said this and continued talking I understood he love us so much that he yearn for us to love him enough to trust him 💖

I love thos thought of the love of a father, a Father in Heaven. What makes me sad is that not all fathers on earth are great examples of the love of a father in heaven. It takes some of us a longe time to heal and redefine what that relationship should look like.

John Wesley once said, "God does nothing except in response to believing prayer." I think he would agree 100% with your message but most of us forget. We do not receive because we do not ask. As you pointed out, prayer is not convincing God to bless us, so much as freeing the hand of Heavenly Father. So we should never stop praying and believing.
