I was thinking today. If I was still married or "dating someone"....how much would I may have spent on valentines with my significant other. So I logged into my bank account from my phone and transferred that amount into my savings today. This is extra from what I already have automatically transferred into savings every week. I am glad I am able to do this. Hope it makes sense. Lol

"Stop eating out." I added up our eating out for February and we have already spent, including coffee runs, 150 dollars! Whoa!

You can easily double, triple, even quadruple (& more) your savings account if you don't have anything in your savings account.

Word from the wise, "If you spend all your money, you're going to be broke". Who else needed to hear that?

My coworker’s husband had her tally up the money she spent for 30 days on eating out. Not groceries…just eating out/food delivery. This included Starbucks, Cupcakes and Smoothie runs. At the end of just 30 days she said it was around $300 on just her eating out alone!!! 😳

Be very honest with yourself about your risk tolerance; finding out you don't have the stomach for volatility when the market plunges 20%. Your investing time horizon is an extremely important determinant of the amount of investment risk you can handle and is generally dependent on your age and investment

Work 80 hours a week, then you just have time for eating rice and beans and sleeping.

You are so right about how much eating out adds up! 😬 I did a look back at last months take out expenses and was shocked! So this month I bought a cook book I liked and I’ve had fun cooking out if it and saving hundreds of dollars !

I don't understand how people don't realize they are paying for subscriptions and memberships. Do people literally just never look at their bank/credit card statements? Or is it that they "know" they're paying it but don't think about the fact they're not using it?

@The Rachel Cruze Show Side hustle eight hours a week at "minimum wage conservatively" equals $325.00? That's over $40 an hour! Minimum wage where I am is $7.25 an hour. Please explain this for concept to me...am I missing something?

Double your savings account so that at the end of the year you can afford the same amount of stuff that you were able to get at the beginning of the year.

Hello Rachel, I have been paying for CAA membership for road assistance for over 15 years without even used it once I have a 14 years old paid off Jeep which I love and I purchased in 2009 on Valentine's day so today is her birthday I have put a few flowers in her dash...I know sentimental me. But lets go back to my question should I cancel the membership? I pay over $120 a year I keep on holding due to the fact valentine is getting old but what do you think?
