Great reviews thank you but there's something I feel must be added for people on the hunt
The Sound BlasterX G6 has a High/Low gain switch that's no joke. The G6 can drive up to 600ohm headphones without issue on the High Gain setting it is designed for 150+ ohm headphone/headsets and of course handles everything thing 150ohm and below on the Low Gain setting. The G6 also amplifies the right and left sides with their own amps so you never run into one side needing to leach power from the other which helps to keep definition of both sides as they should be. For example if you have a loud explosion on the right that requires more power to produce and footsteps on the left you won't run into not being able to hear the footsteps because the right side needed the power boost from the left to render the explosion. I'd also add that the GSX1000 can't drive headphones above around 150ohms very well and it struggled badly with my HE4XX's where as the G6 had more than enough power to feed them.
TLDR:
G6 has much more power than the GSX1000.
So if you buy the GSX1000 and want to use it with harder to drive headphones/headsets that are at 150ohm and above you'll need to buy an Amp to feed it's signal into...
The last thing I'll add is if a Dac/Amp doesn't have a Microphone input can it really be called a Gaming Dac/Amp or should it simply be called a Dac/Amp that sounds good in gaming?

I'm pretty new on the audiophile scene. So currently I have a Sennheiser HD598 and my friends suggest me getting sound cards or DACs for it.

I could get a DAC which is what most folks would suggest but for me where I am so choices are LIMITED and limited budget. I could get a Sound blaster Z which is a older but cheaper in the offers but from what I heard is that it has design flaws. Or I can save up to get a Sound blaster E5 DAC instead. Comparison in prices BlastZ (85USD) VS BlastE5 (200+USD).

I'm sorry 😔 if my choices seem bad but it really is and I'm limited to these for now in terms of quality. I'm just taking an answer to save for a future decision.

Hey I need your help with something, I'm using windows 10 and the audio is terribly low..will the fio e10k help in boosting it up? will it have an effect on sound quality? if not what do you recommend I do, I've updated every driver, checked all the options everything to do with sound and volume is upto 100%.
