I imagine if 3D Realms had been as transparent with DNF as you are, maybe gone the Serious Sam route by releasing public alpha tests and responding to feedback on their forums, things would have gone so much different, maybe for the better. Also, it's satisfying to finally see the Chainsaw in working order.

Very cool to see some restored content, that control panel mini game I find frustrating lol. However you should mention that this map is doesn't really have much in it, after you complete the 2 control panels there isn't much else. I spent a good 20 minutes running around to see if I had missed something, before using noclip and realizing there is no further progression. But either way good job, really fooled me into thinking there was a way out.

I think that Duke would be either confused or freaked out at seeing little grey aliens instead of the ones he's use to fighting.

Would greys be in duke? Were the grays in the files? I just see duke as usually having the aliens that are specifically the style for duke. Not sure if they had something like the grey only as a placeholder in the concept art and such a thing isn't supposed to be in duke.

The GBA Duke Nukem starts off really similar to this. I think it would be cool if DNF had the level set from the GBA alongside the unreleased concepts + unfinished levels
