Stoke Is No Joke! Stoke Space To Copy SpaceX Starship and Raptor. Musk Laughs...
Riding the healthy “new space” wave, there are quite a few start-ups trying to get a portion of the space launch market. When such a company claims to be developing novel tech, something ground-breaking, hardware that will be fully reusable and game-changing, well, it is reasonable to err on the side of caution and remain skeptical.
Stoke Is No Joke! Stoke Space To Copy SpaceX Starship and Raptor. Musk Laughs...
Stoke Space, however, is not only claiming this, but actually building and testing hardware according to its claim, and at an amazing pace.
Recently, this company successfully conducted an Engine test with efficiency similar to the Raptors powering SpaceX's Starship.
So, what's special about this?
How is Stoke Space following the complex technology path of SpaceX?
Any chance for them to beat Elon Musk’s SpaceX?
Let's find out on today's episode of Alpha Tech:
Stoke Is No Joke! Stoke Space To Copy SpaceX Starship and Raptor. Musk Laughs...
Founded in October 2019, Stoke Space is still a relatively new player in the emerging startup landscape. However, Stoke has garnered significant attention for its bold ambitions. Much like SpaceX, Stoke embodies the vibrant energy of a young company, often aiming for goals that other companies wouldn't even consider. From the outset, Stoke Space intended to manufacture a rocket named Nova, featuring two stages that would be completely reusable, with both stages returning to Earth. OMG! Is there any other rocket company daring enough to pursue such an ambition from the start? Companies like Rocket Lab or even established rocket companies like Blue Origin or ULA typically start by producing and launching partially reusable rockets before progressing to higher achievements.

stoke space never copied the raptor or starship... the "nova" rocket by stoke space is a completely different design and the engine isnt a copy even if it has the same cycle and fuel

Good luck to stoke space it's a massive mountain to clime to be a successful launch company...

Before Roger Bannister ran the first 4 minute mile, all the pundits said it couldn't be done. Once he accomplished the feat, many others followed. So it will be with reusability. Now that it has been demonstrated, all the young geniuses will be lining up to do the same.

The information in this video is not correct. The first stage of stokes Nova rocket uses methane and liquid oxygen (methalox). Not hydrogen and liquid oxygen. They only use hydrolox for the second stage. Check your information before making a video about it

Good luck with the hydrogen, very very hard to work with and sealing it in... Thought people would learn from NASA's problems dealing with it...

I for one and very happy to see that someone is trying to do things the same way that SpaceX does. I do not believe they will ever be a competitor of SpaceX, but at least they are going in the right direction.

I wonder if Bezos is going to sue them now?

Can they Build 1 Engine per Day 😮🎉😂...
That's a No Phkn Way...

Stoke will launch to orbit before sue origin goes to orbit.

stokes engine looks like 10 mile long bird nest of piping, there's no comparison to the Raptor3, and hydrogen? Good luck with that.

This is a great idea for a second stage that will eventually reenter the Earth's ( or any other planet ) atmosphere. Useless in longer space journeys. PS., this engine is a hydrogen fueled engine.

Hydrogen is going to have crazy leak problems

If you fly to Mars, how do you refuel it?

Even if they fail to pass SpaceX, I could see the smaller engines and aerospike tech being used for smaller craft or probes working with SpaceX. By following a path like SpaceX the designs would likely be easier to cross adapt for special needs down the road. With the aerospike engine I could see it as a viable lifeboat craft as well, with the larger SpaceX focused on bigger payloads and crews. While SpaceX focused on big bulk runs and longer ranges a company focused more focused on the small end could be used for rapid deployment and could be better for some military uses as well.

I think one of the important part of reusability is where it going to lead you to once you master all the aspects of reusability you go into the realm of making space travel a normal thing .where we see now it is an event but if you watch any space movie you would see that seeing a space ship fly away was an everyday experience .Instead of a booster and a ship we will have just ships just like we have airplanes and don't speak about how we reuse the same airplane.

I wasn't even aware of this company. I'll be looking into their progress and any information on investment possibilities most definitely.
