VEE (LCD 3) goes to - or + side of the 1K resister?

Hi dear, I tried your code.
The typed data in serial monitor outputs the same data in serial monitor which is ok, but it prints the garbage on second line of the LCD display.
Can you please give it a try your self as
I think the original code needs to be modified in order to display the same data on LCD as in serial monitor.

it works but it also displays 4 orizzontal lines next to the name and I dont know how to fix it! :(
