Emerson & Sons Logging, LLC, located in Groton, Vermont, has a company history with John Deere that goes back to the late 1980s. Today the company runs a John Deere 853M Tracked Feller Buncher and a 648L Skidder.

Emerson & Sons Logging, LLC also became John Deere’s Forestry Influencer.

Those track cutters looks alright growing up in the 80s we had a bell cutter 2 648ds a 640d cable and a 544c lift we loaded logs with and 2 544ds at the sawmill here in west tennessee my dad is gone now but that was the fun times as a kid rideing on those deeres back then now I can drive anything with tracks or tires lol

I grew up and still live in Vermont spent a good share of the time as kid and teen in the woods with my uncle logging with a old cat d4 and a John 450 smaller machine's but to hear him talk about that old 450 you think he had a 648 I later moved on to working on the local dairy farm then I learned the only one to have is painted green Vermont happy to see some boys frome vermont on here the work they do is very important to this state and just as much of a staple of ower beautiful pice County as John deere equipment
