Fighting an Uphill Battle
You need some things to claim victory of your battle(s):
1. Promises of God
A. Joshua 10:8
B. Remember what God told you
C. Scripture holds so many promises for the believer
2. Persistence
A. Joshua pursued the enemy all night up a mountain over a distance of approx. 20 miles for probably 8-10 hrs
B. Don't give up because God is on your side, Christian!
3. Power
A. Joshua operated in God's supernatural power and the Israelites were not affected, only their enemies
B. Sometimes we're fighting a battle we cannot win but with God all things are possible!
4. Prayer
A. Joshua 10:12-14 - Joshua prayed for God to hold the sun still so they could continue the battle until victory was won. With God all things are possible and Joshua knew this.
B. Joshua had the Lord's attention - verse 14
5. Punishing Attitude (v.22-42)
A. Joshua left none remaining
B. Do not trifle with sin! Keep a punishing attitude toward your sin and your enemy!

Stay faithful! It's HIS fight!
