Explained: Rishi Sunak becomes UK's New Prime Minister | British Prime Minister | UPSC CSE 2023

Rishi Sunak has been elected as the 57th prime minister of United Kingdom becoming the country’s first Indian-origin Prime Minister.

He has become the third person to lead the country in seven weeks after his predecessor Liz Truss stepped down after staying in office for 45 days. As the UK's new PM, Rishi Sunak will have to take measures to boost UK's dwindling economy.

Indians have very divided opinion about Rishi Sunak . Majority of Indians care less as they are well aware that Rishi is just a British who has been appointed Prime Minister by King Charles III to serve in the best interest of the citizens of Britain .

When the economy is bad, they step down and handle that burden to people of Indian origin. Once we get rid of all those troubles, they take over that position and continue to mock again.
