My first time ever listening to a Military Band playing Floyd. Absolutely AWESOME. Amazingly talented musicians. Thanks guys and girls.

I'm a huge Floyd fan and I normally don't like others when they play Floyd songs but these guys were awesome. Great rendition. Really enjoyed this. Well done the royal marines band. But then again they're one of the best bands on the planet.

A brilliant performance, and the drummer and guitarist (Andy Platt) just sublime - rock stars in uniform!

That drummer is so cool they had to put a shield around him to protect the audience from the awesomeness he radiates. :-)

Far too often when someone tries to cover Floyd they fall flat. Especially when it comes to Gilmore's guitar work. This was spot on.

The Conductor takes the cake
He brings that ‘touch’ which puts fire into the entire performance in a very special most remarkable way…

Touché‼️🥂🔥

Im not a big classical music fan but when orchestras play contemporary rock it sounds amazing. Seen a few vids of the RM playing quality music like this and they are brilliant.

Excellent. Even the light show is a nod to Pink Floyd.

Royal Albert Hall 2017 - I was there on the first night (March 23) and this was the opening to the second half. My seat was in row 14 (still got the ticket!) and looking around as I realised where this was going there was a distinct 'WTF' look on peoples' faces but they nailed it.

I can remember playing this Pink Floyd number when I was aboard "The Old Red Plum" HMS Endurance in '89. My band was called Way Below Zero. I changed some of the lyrics to "We don't need no Regulating, We don't need no beer Control, No threat of pun's if we get shitfaced, Jossman leave our fridge alone. HEY JAUNTY, LEAVE OUR FRIDGE ALONE. All in all you're just another Prick at the wall." The Jaunty thought it hilarious. Happy days shipmates. ROCK'N'ROLL. JANBOY. RN. Rtd.

I wonder if the HM Royal Marines realize how fantastic they are? I sure hope when we visit the UK again we can catch their live performance. My father was Career military with the Canadian Armed Forces and was post to a small Base close to Rhosneigr Wales. We enjoyed 2 years living in Rhosneigr as my Father worked on a new missile system with the British Forces. I was only 12 but loved the experience. Had a great view of the RAF Valley watching all the lightenings taking off and landing and Red Arrows practicing for their Airshow performances. As an Adult have been back to visit a few times after a winters of guiding in the Swiss Alps. Always wondered why when visiting the UK I was asked many times if I was the Tim Rice. I said I’m Tim Rice but now sure who “The Tim Rice” is, then was educated on the wonderful music and plays of lyicist Tim Rice. That has been many years ago, now look forward to visit again and enjoy the beauty of the UK and now we have added the Bands of the HM Royal Marines to our list of must see performances. They are exceptional. Thanks for posting.
