Tons of new movies are breaking out and seeking release after sitting on the shelf for a little bit. One of those films is sneaking under the radar, but by the time this video is done, I guarantee you’ll know everything you need to know about The Mitchells vs. The Machines. This picture from Sony Animation promises to blow away expectations even with a Netflix release. Trust me, I think it has the potential to be Iron Giant levels of fun and depth.

The plot centers around a dysfunctional family taking one last camping trip as a whole family before the oldest daughter heads off to college. Everything goes array when the robots attack. That right there; isn’t that one of the more original concepts for an animated movie you’ve heard in a while? It’s not Pixar’s constant attempts to make you cry, but it’s well above any of that Emoji Movie crap from other years. This video will talk all about this talented cast of actors and the incomparable team of writers who’ve joined the project. The talent in this movie is the most exciting part.

Plenty of films will be fighting for your attention in the next couple of months, but I can assure you this is one movie you need to know about now. Everyone and their uncle will be talking about how heartwarming this film ended up before you know it.

Suppose you don’t see how this story can rise above basic children’s animated movies. In that case, I guess it’s lucky there’s a whole video for you to watch about what makes this film worth your attention.
