I’ve always wanted to raise bees! Not only for honey but to help the environment. I’m allergic to most bees so collecting honey the traditional way was a no go for me. Until you came out with the flow hive. Now I’m educating myself as much as I can. I’m even talking to people who have hives and joining a bee club! My next step is acquiring land and setting up pollinating trees and plants that work well in my area. Thanks again for your brilliant idea and always answering questions here and on Facebook!

Wanted to mention, I love your channel, I'm new, and thinking of starting my own colony. But in California, here, many people use electric fences against bears to keep them from the honey. It works efficiently, and the bees can come and go as they please.

How do you know when the frames on the inside (not the two near the observation windows) are full without disturbing the hive?

I 'm from Englang, Autumn now and my flow super is about half full. Can I harvest is with out harming the bees that are working the other cells that do not have syrup in them? the other is capped!

Hi my m8ie. I wonder. Some people say that you need two brood boxes for colder climates (Norway where i am). Does this carry any truth, or is the flow hive as they are today not functional in colder climates?

To provide resources for my hive over the winter in Western Oregon, do I leave the full Flow box on the hive, or is leaving a second Langstroth box for the bees to fill how to do it?
