Chamber shrouding of the larger valve.  You would need to port/modify the chamber to unshroud the valve to correct the issue.
One full point of compression i.e. 9.00-1 vs 10.00-1 equals roughly 8% power increase/decrease  JD

You need to do some research on valve curtain area and throat diameter/area and you will see whay the larger valve will flow more and make more power.

So you are saying a 1.89 intake valve in a LS1 head will have increased flow and make more power? .Do you have any thing to  document this swap, like flowbench numbers or dyno results or E.T. at the strip ?

Oh man you really are wayyyy off!! Do some research bud. All you high end aftermarket heads have bigger valves for more air flow. Your logic is incorrect. They open up the valve seat on the head when using bigger valves. It’s real simple bigger valve(bigger hole) more air can come through.
