I wish that there was a sequence where some banished and unsc fought along side each other just so they can fend off the flood it would really show how desperate they are to survive

You can see spartans, ODST and Banished, fighting together against the flood.

The contrast with the first time we encounter the Flood, first time was, wtf, WTF!!, we didn't knew what is the flood but we know was terryfing and it needs to be stoped, but now that we know what is the flood, a Eldrich Galaxy devourer horror is more like, OH SHIT, OH SHIIIT, OH the song sounds more desperate and less scary.

Was playing Xcom2 to a playlist of video game music that I'd collected over the years. Was doing that one set of missions that involved Chryssalids from the ocean. Then THIS kicked on as they started mowing down civies and breeding like mad and it conjured the image of Chryssalids going up against an unprepared army of The Guardsmen dispatched to a Hive world that had been utterly overrun by them.
Just facing down a dozen of these things with 6 soldiers is scary. They go down easy but they cover ground like nobody's business, and it only takes a scratch on a soldier to doom them if you don't have any medical spray to counter the toxin.
Poor bastards wouldn't stand a chance as millions and millions of Chryssalids pour out from the cities, and anyone ordered to fall back would then face a fresh hell as their injured comrades suddenly collapse into a bio-cocoon and turn into MORE of those monsters....
Just a day in the life (and death) for a Guardsmen, I suppose.

This DLC was cool, but ultimately disappointing. Especially considering how much the base game of HW2 delivered.
