Great use of surplus/overstock parts! I know this is a crazy idea, but, what if you had a Guitarfetish TV building contest where you could only use a body or parts from your website, or a least some large majority. I always want to enter these contests because of how cool and/or original the ideas people come up with. However, these things get out of hand and usually become cost prohibitive. Maybe a prize could be like a certain $ amount of parts/or guitar from your website, or have you guys buy it back for what you put into it and put it on the channel. I mean, I have no pull, I just like friendly competition with kind of fair rules. Thanks for doing this tele style build!

I was just looking at the site last night, putting all the parts on my wish list! Picked a Tele body and Tele pickups. I think I like the humbuckers and the Bigsby style tremelo better. May have to change my wish list a little! Thanks for the video!

The Surf90 is a GREAT pick up!
I have a set i put in my XV550! Suits it WAY better than the fizz-fest Crunchy Pats that it originally came with.
Without doubt 1 of the BEST clean sounding single coil pick ups out there!
Got the twang and spank of a Tele pick up with the fatness of a P90!

I wish that you would include more "clean" time for analyzing the tone in your videos and hopefully without pedals; Well maybe a volume pedal.
It really would make one's decisions much more accurate in making a pickup choice to suit a particular tonal preference.
I want to build this guitar myself so thanks for bringing it to my attention; as I'm a limited funds guy who would really like a tonal semi-hollowbody.

Man I really like the sound of those Surf 90 pickups! I have these Lollar humbucker sized P90's in my SG and they just sound way too skronky and primitive for me plus they cost a lot. Probably end up just getting rid of them. Those surf 90's sound sweet and clear.
