Pentagon press secretary Pat Ryder held a news briefing Thursday as the U.N. peacekeeping mission in Lebanon, known as UNIFIL, said in a statement that its headquarters and positions “have been repeatedly hit” by Israeli forces.

The U.N. Interim Force in Lebanon said today that the IDF attacked its peacekeepers and outposts in three incidents in the last day, one of which hospitalized two peacekeepers. The IDF has not responded to the allegation. Borrell called the attacks unacceptable and said he is seeking "full accountability."3

"A convoy of Indian peacekeeper soldiers, flying the blue UN flag from their jeeps and trucks, were on their way to Gaza when they met an Israeli tank column on th road. As the Israelis approached, the UN observes pulled aside and stopped to get out of the way. One of the tanks rotated its turret and opened fire from a few feet away. When other Indians went to aid their comrades they were mowed down by machine gun fire.
