I rescued my husky. Had him home 90 minutes before he escaped. He ran 2 miles then decided he was going inside the Kohl’s department store and run around there for a while. 😂 I just got him from the shelter and it took 3 animal control officers, 2 cops, 7 very nice citizens and me before we finally got him home. That was a fun first day! 😂😂😂

My husky is an escape artist and Houdini...can clear a 6' fence without missing a beat and suffers from periodic hearing loss by refusing to even acknowledge a single recall command....is not food driven so even an offering of a tomahawk steak is ignored....

My husky has managed to wriggle out of 3 collars and 4 different halters
Her current halter is supposed to be escape proof but she has managed to break the center clasp...
I keep her hooked on a 100' lead line because of all of the above....
Our local police know her by sight and name ....the last time she pulled a Houdini and made a break....police caught her doing 23.2 miles per hour running down the side of the highway into town...and she wasn't even running at full speed because she was darting around a second officers attempt to stop and detain her lol

The one thing I'm glad I was able to train my husky on. Door doesn't open unless he sits first so he doesn't make a break every time it opens. He knows he need permission. I wouldn't dare leave it open though.

I had to treat my husky Blaze, like he was in a Maximum Security Prison. All doors had to be closed because he was an escape artist. I still miss you blaze. 1990 to 2001

Those first dogs were pretty well trained. I get the sense that most dogs are trying to get out. But they don’t necessarily start running and running running.
