Kaktus is my go to for everything, works great with buildup boost too from the "invisible" poison and i use it on monsters not weak to fire either (mainly can't be bothered switching lances). I go full bladescale hone over masters touch though + embolden

The lance synergizes very well with the Emolden skill. It makes the monster focus on you more which gives you more opportunity to make use of Offensive Guard. Furthermore, the evasion bonus from Embolden goes very well with Bladescale Hone which at maximum keeps your sharpness in the purple realms very easily.

Elemental lance is very strong in sunbreak and I recommend these builds to everyone, mine are a little bit different but same idea behind them, guard 3 is comfy for more attack openings.
For anyone who wants weird fun off meta playstyle consider trying spiral thrust spam (make sure to do follow up attack after final hit), you'd need guard and maybe some embolden so you can utilize the guard point on the start of it for nice damage buff (it even stacks with anchor rage if you wanna bother with switch scroll swapping), weapon either regular raw with status (lucent, teostra, scorned, kaktus, bazel) or go all in with amatsu weapon, frenzied bloodlust 1-2, bloodlust 1-2, wind mantle 1, wirebug whisperer 1-3, guard 5, and maybe some embolden for some monsters so your dash is not interrupted, or you can just try not to guard point those moves. For first two its chaotic gore arms and coil which are amazing armor pieces anyway, wind mantle + wirebug whisperer could make risen kushala helmet, or get a wind mantle from curio crafting.

Great video. I definitely wanted to get into lance in World. Played it for like 20hrs. Didn't really feel like it fit with me. All I wanted to do was dash spam and attempt to get paras with it XD

Peanut was telling me that was apparently a viable playstyle in GU tho. Been thinking about trying to make a build for that with status trigger in Sunbreak too. Just this really weird backdash evade para drill lance build XD

Royal Ludroth is extremely reliable. 🙂 For a "do everything" set, you're typically looking for the more balanced Weapons, anyway; just don't tell the "M'favorite Monster" meta tourist crowd. 😆
