I'm just discovering this, Ronnie Wood is an absolute God send. So real, so genuine, he's a legend and he makes other legends feel at ease and just talk, and we are the better off for it. Thank you.

Ron's being too modest -- the Faces did a FANTASTIC version of this song.

When Paul was recording the tracks for "McCartney" in his home in Scotland, he realized he had something special in Maybe I'm Amazed. So he re-recorded it at Abbey Road. He still played all the instruments, but did it in a real studio with an engineer using professional 8 track recorder and mixing console, All other tracks on McCartney were recorded by himself in his living room on a home 4 track machine.

Beautiful song with an outstanding guitar solo.
Apart from the harmony vocals by Linda, Paul performed the entire album by himself, playing every instrument via overdubbing on four-track tape.
It's an usually underrated album (even by myself the first times I've heard it), but if you listen to it closely you'll find that is a fantastic record in a 'back to basics' style, in the same direction that The Beatles took in "Let It Be". Another excellent proof of Paul's genius

So cool to hear Ron and Paul talk about this song. All these years later. Just the history and music between them. I always loved this song.
I knew it was about Linda.
I think we all did.

That is a really great recording - MAYBE I'M AMAZED - it has a great atmosphere about it with a hint of melancholy - Paul played all of the instruments - i love the piano and organ parts, the sound of the drums and his guitar work is outstanding especially that brilliant so well constructed and melodic solo played with just the right amount of soul and feeling - a great recording it is. Thanks again Sir Paul!

If you listen to the McCartney's album version, than the Faces cover (it's on YouTube) and the Wings Over America version, I think you'll agree that the Faces version was part of the progression of the song from album to Wings live version. With Wings, Paul McCartney was in a way, playing a cover of the Faces cover of his song. I like the Wings Over America version the most, but Ron Wood and company's interpretation was gold!

Ronnie's such a natural with people, so friendly, it's a shame that this show wasn't out on prime time tv as a chat show instead of the utter crap, (eg Jonathan Ross) that we are given.
