I would recommend if you are collecting vintage watches not to do it unless you are rich and can afford to have them serviced or you can repair them yourself. I got into watches for a few years and all I did was have some fun and lose a lot of money! You can get a quartz watch for 20.00 that can keep better time than any mechanical watch and will last a very long time.

beautiful junghans pieces.
if you're buying a vintage watch and it has NOT been advertised as having been serviced, many times you can expect to have it lose time. often if it has NOT been serviced recently, it's last service might have been when it was built. in other words, do not expect your vintage timepiece to keep time like a new watch. that is often a disclaimer made by the seller anyway.

Well, this could’ve gone the other way pretty quickly, too! By that I mean you going home without your watch!

yep. i wore my grandfather's 69 gmt pepsi and an old guy just randomly approached me and asked what year it was made. he looks plain but you can tell he exudes that rich atmosphere around him. he gave me a business card and lo and behold, he's a watch collector and very much interested in my watch. i'm still in touch with the guy since he gave me a lead on where i can get my omega serviced. he asks for pictures of my watch collection as well but the only one that tickles his fancy is the gmt.

Love the blue watch strap you were wearing. What brand strap was it?

I buy junghans and other vintage watches for less than 50 bucks. I have no idea what I am doing but think for that price they are not faked and if they, it does not matter. They look awesome and unlike a Rolex or Daniel Wellington, they are really unique.

Everything is real if you can see, touch, feel, use and enjoy it.
If you buy a franken watch and it works who cares. Get over it.
Better than throwing it away.

Hadn’t any watches in my collection with those brand names.

Great video. Could you recommend a reputable dealer for vintage watches on eBay?

I hear you, people ask me all the time if my casio a158 is real or not.
It's not 😔

I really like vog style videos, hope to see more videos on your thoughts. Thumbs up! BTW what do you do for a living? My most expensive watch is my Breitling Super ocean 2. No one ever recognizes the brand name or comments on it, but I like the fact it doesn't stand out. It don't matter what Rolex model you have everyone knows Rolex. lol

Hi I'm sorry I don't know what you're name is yet, I live in the north of Ireland and we are just emerging from a 40 year conflict and I get the IS THAT REAL ! daily and my daily is wave dial omega, normally followed by have you nothing better to spend you're money on wasting 5 or 6 hundred pounds on.But I always inform them my watch is not a 5 or 6 £ but actually cost me almost £3000 you can almost taste their anger over something that is none of their business. I saved for many years to get my omega the only item I love and would go into a burning building to save.i don't mind people asking but I will not let someone who does not know me judge me.sorry I went on bit of a rant.i look forward to watching your content.👍ps is you're name Eyoon ?

What deal did you work out with the seller. Is there still options of negotiation after purchase without returning?
