1) I doubt Messi will start vs Ecuador. I think he'll be on the bench and only come on in the second half if/when necessary.
We may see Alvarez and Lautaro starting together.
2) Venezuela vs Canada should be a banger. Canada with its high pace and directness, but without great goalscoring vs Venezuela with its all-round solidity.
3) Colombia should crush Panama. Colombia are so damn good.
4) Uruguay didn't look that great vs the USA, but then it was one of those games they didn't have to win. This may be a very 50/50 type game. Although I do think that if Brazil doesn't start well, they will collapse due to the negative vibes around the team. I hope Dorival is brave and starts Savio and Endrick.

I agree with your analysis and picked the same 4 winners in Arg, Venz, Col, and Urug- the only difference would be if the games end in draws and go to penalties. Love your comment about Panama, which was part of Colombia, until another country wanted a canal built..lol. I do not get the criticisms about the draw because if you win your group, you get the second place team in the next group, its that simple. Had Brazil won their group then they would have gotten an easier game in Panama; and Mexico and Chile were expected on the Arg side. The 2 biggest team following are Arg and Brazil, so it makes sense for a draw to have them possibly playing in the finals only...but look foward to these games, followed by a possible Arg vs Uru finals....

Vinicius junior was fouled in the box versus Columbia. Brazil have a better combined 11 than Uruguay, only Federico Valverde and Darwin Núñez are likely to make a combined eleven for both teams Brazil has advances in attack, midfield defense and goalkeeper. Maybe Uruguay has advantage in coach too

Bring on the KO round 🙌🏿🔥 Ecuador could cause an upset but they've been playing in second gear thus far. Will be interesting to see if they are able to go up a gear. Likewise Brazil with their current fofm are going to get HANDLED by Uruguay but have the tools to cause an upset if they are able to actually get their midfield going.
