1. When I could not discern His hand,
And darkness befell me,
I wandered alone and forsaking my path
My hope was abandoned.
'Twas then I turned contrite
And cried unto the Lord.
He filled me with His Spirit
And did renew my sight.

2. Show me Thy ways,
Teach me of Thy paths.

Thou are ever with me.
Mine eyes are turned to thee,
To see Thy kindnesses.
Deliver me my soul,

3. Cast thy burden upon the Lord,
And He shall sustain thee.
He never will suffer the righteous to fall.
He is at thy right hand.
Thy mercy, Lord, is great
And far above the heav'ns.
Let none be made ashaméd
That wait upon Thee.
