My favourite troll legacy kit consists of (EXACTLY) 5 planks, at least 2 diamonds and whole lotta random bullshit (no weapons that deal more than 4 damage + permanent weakness

The point is to overwhelm the opponent with options and make them try to craft and place a crafting table. Due to table costing 4 planks, they have no planks more to make a weapon that can hurt you, while you use their crafting table to make a sword/axe

A build using a bow and arrows, a stack of wooden planks, lingering potions of instant damage, and a full suit of projectile protection IV netherite armour.

Use the planks to make a crafting table, and then make arrows of harming, and undercharge your shots so that the potion effect does more damage (the harming effect scales inversely with the arrows' damage) while the opponent tries throwing the lingering potions at you and shooting regular arrows which barely put a dent in your armour.
