I remember back in 2019 going against high level players in casual or smurfing in comp and them only going for insane passing plays. Everytime I got such players I didn't care that I lost. I would be genuinely amazed at how they could the ball to eachother so effortlessly. As I got up in the ranks and took the game seriously, I learned that I was too late for the blimp in RL history that passing was meta.
