This happened to me recently😢 I went from black short hair to platinum and my hair on the top and sides of my hair melted off and are now only about 2 inches long. Best thing I can say to anyone who is going through this right now is that 1 it will all be alright and 2 probably the best things to to right now is find very nourishing hair oils and coat the damaged hair with it then put a gentle moisturizing hair gel to slick it back for a few months. I’ve noticed my hair is much softer and hasn’t fallen out as much. The oil will protect the hair from the hair gel and will allow you to go heatless for a while. Definitely make sure to gently wash the gel out every night and the oil to prevent clogging the hair follicle! Hope this helps anyone dealing with this right now❤

I know this feeling, it ALWAYS happens when it finally just gets nice. Hold on, you'll make it through. Please now that it might happen naturally another time, "just when it seems perfect." This has happened to me about three times. Ugh, so sad, only once was connected to coloring. The other two times were related to someone using keratin product. Yes, all times happened when my hair at reached a maximum length too. Awe, we've all been there. Hugs.
