Thanks so much, I am now understanding more about potentiometer. However, If i want to buy a high resolution pot. How do i distinguish the pot whether high resolution or not before purchase??

Because i am going to replace the potentiometer for my flight stick. But i didn't found the same 50K 60 degrees angle of rotation pots. The pots i can found in my country are only 270 degree or larger. Also with low resolution.

Brilliant video mate. So it's pretty much a variable resistance ..like a decade box? Why don't peple use potentiometers which are cheaper nstead of the decade resistance boxes?

So in the example the light is connected between terminals 2 and 3 of the pot?

Dude, why is the centre tap wiper split? Does it act like a fuse if too much current flows?
