Congress MP Shashi Tharoor spoke out against the RTI (Amendments) Bill 2019 in the Lok Sabha this week. While introducing the bill, Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office, Jitendra Singh spoke about his government’s “commitment to transparency” and said these changes are merely technical in nature. But Congress MP Tharoor says that these amendments are a deliberate attempt to change the RTI framework and undermine its autonomy.

RTI bill amendment is dangerous, reduced the voice of people, RTI bill which is given by respected Sonia Gandhi tenure were commendable and remarkable but bjp play (amendment)is not asked by people, not pressed by janmat then why government is so much desperate to amendment of RTI.
