If you're playing in Hard Mode, they'll have about 3600-3700 HP, so the best strat is just spamming Duster's Siren Beetle and Wall Staples, he'd have to waste 3 turns to break free and turn around

honestly in mother 3 the ultimate equipment is way more reasonable to grind for, 1/33 is child's play compared to the sword that shall not be named

Grinding ultimate equipment in mother 3 is easier than in earthbound in my opinion

Not sure if you know this or not, but everytime you put the cursor on the enemies Sprite, it lowers the chance of getting the rare drop oh, I don't have any source to site I have only heard it through others, however through testing I can say it helps quite a lot.
