I have to admit I am in favor of Mickey Mouse becoming public domain, much like the original Alice in Wonderland, Winnie the Pooh, Sherlock Holmes, etc. not to bury them, but to extend their lives.

Yes, you do get works like "Blood and Honey, " but you also get things like, well, this cartoon.

Normally I'd agree with you, but it's hard to feel bad for a company that tried to sue a family for putting Spiderman on their child's grave.

Edit: They didn't actually sue, they just denied the families request. But let's be honest, Disney wouldn't hesitate to sue them if they didn't ask permission.
