Jamaica Inn is a 1939 British Adventure Thriller movie.
Charles Laughton stars as Sir Humphrey Pengallan. With Maureen O'Hara as Mary Yellan in her first major screen role. The story is set on the edge of Bodmin Moor, Cornwall England in 1820. It is based on a novel by Daphne du Maurier, 1936. It is about a gang of cut-throat thieves that intentionally wreck ships on the rocky cost and plunder their cargo. The real Jamaica Inn still exists today.
Directed by Alfred Hitchcock. This was the last film Hitchcock made in the United Kingdom before moving to the United States.
