Part 2 of the full Sequencer Cinematic Cutscene Series which will cover the entire movie creation process in the Unreal Engine 5 sequencer. From animating basic cubes to fully animated characters with facial animations for metahumans (or characters with facial shape keys). As well as triggering events from the cutscene.
In this part I focused on how to use Rootmotion and In Place animations for characters in cutscenes in the sequencer.

What if, after doing "match with bone in previous clip", it keeps playing the second animation from the first starting point regardless of the bone selected?

thanks for this. I have a character Id like to traverse a rock terrain (so not straight lines) . Is it possible to define a spline for it to follow thats easily editable ?

If doesn't play animation in sequence remove CR_Mannequin_Body (or just press the Ø on the side to deactivate it)

Great tutorial, but I really wish you would have went over how to transition from your cutscene and back into game play.
Right now there is a jarring pop from the sequencer camera/animation and the gameplay camera/animation.
Sequencer tutorials never seem to cover this part. And if they do, the player character has no animation during the cutscene.

can you make a tutorial in how to do POV cutscene transitions? for instance answering a phone and putting it back or examining an object?

Match bone only works if you are using skeletal mesh. It doesnt work with BP. Since in your game you would mostly want to use your BP in sequencer. This method wont work

Now for the real question. How does one create cinematic fight scenes? lol That seems to be the big problem I can't understand.
