I really didn't like how they handled Carnages character in this: i thought a big part of carnage was how in sync Cletus and the symbiote are, which is why they say "I" instead of "we" if Venom and Eddie's arc was to learn how to work with one another, having a villain who's perfectly synced could have been a great foil! But they dropped the ball on that by making the symbiote independent of Cletus for whatever reason...

I wanted them to get into what carnage being a “red one” means in the story.

This movie was just pure chaos. It was charming in it's way but my goodness was it chaotic.

Carnage spinning around to make a tornado reminded me of Taz from Looney Tunes!

Sometimes the expression on Andre's face in the thumbnail is spoiler for me.

At the beginning of the film Shriek tells Cleatus, her mutation is getting stronger. I just assumed from that line she was a mutant. And if there are mutants in this universe...

My biggest issue is they missed a lot of what made Carnage special. He’s suppose to feel like the opposite of Venom: he’s slimmer and smaller, he has more variety on his powers, his voice is a more higher pitch and energetic and he’s perfectly insync with his symbiote.
But it mostly feels like they went “he’s Venom but red” route.
I also felt like they tried to do this middle ground of making Cletus crazy and have depth but don’t really nail either. Like if they wanted to make me feel bad for this dude than REALLY dive in or if they wanted to make him off the wall crazy than just commit to it.

That after credit scene had everyone in the theater yell cheer and yell oh shit all together unanimously

That after credit scene was something I did not see coming

4:40 Despite the PG-13 rating, Carnage still manages to cause plenty of… carnage. I think the biggest reason they didn’t use an R-rating is to connect better with the post-credits scene.

The movie did mention mutations regarding Shriek in the beginning. Definitely felt short though.

Andre: I felt like something was missing...

Me: Spider-man of course!!

Let's be honest, the two biggest problems are the run time and rating.

I wasn’t expecting to get carnage for the comics he’s WAY to brutal so for what it is I dig it

The movie tried to add in too many relationships connecting all the characters together that it made it feel forced. I didn’t care for Anne, I didn’t care for her boyfriend (except when he saves Eddie), I even felt Venom was super emotional almost too much, don’t get me wrong it was a great movie, just felt really fast paced

"This one legit feels like it came from the 90's''.
I see this as an absolute WIN.

I agree with almost everything. When I looked at this as a romantic comedy first and then a comic book movie it hit a lot harder for me and really changed the experience. Plus I can get my husband to watch it if he is burnt out with my romantic comedies..

I remember a time where the closest thing to a Spider-Man 4 trailer was just clips of Woody Harrelson from Natural Born Killers edited to make him seem like Carnage
