About Divya M. Persaud
Divya M. Persaud is a planetary scientist with a focus in remote sensing for planetary geology and geophysics. Through her research Divya has used lidar data to investigate the surface geochemistry of the Mercury, used topography data to study impact craters on Saturn’s icy moons, used laboratory experiments to understand meteorites and used radar to look at lava tubes on Mars!
Divya has an undergraduate degree in Geology and Music, she is an alumna of the NASA Academy and is currently pursuing a PhD in Space & Climate Physics at UCL’s Mullard Space Science Laboratory. Through her PhD she is developing methods of 3D image processing, visualization, and analysis for Mars surface geology ahead of the ExoMars 2020 rover launch.
