Here’s the case of a 76ers fan (me)
Embiid averages 33.1 PPG compared to Jokics 24.5 and Embiid has all the passing you need from a big man but Jokic has an extra level to it and on defense it is obvious Embiid is better and Jokic is below average. So my question is does that extra passing level make up for his poor defense allowing all the extra points? If the answer is yes to you then give him the MVP if not then Embiid is the better option. Also think about the free throws because that makes him secure extra points and if you watch the games, when he gets benched our entire team makes more avoidable mistakes causing the other team to get a stop or score.
That’s my case for Embiid and if it’s not enough then go to Jokic (also I think that Giannis should be in this conversation)

Advanced stats are a old measurement system bc when it was created no one thought a big man would be playmaking and doing guard stuff so it over values jokic as a player

I actually think Giannis deserves it over Embid. Jokic is very good, but his stats are very padded. Very easy “assists”, and rebounding is lazy these days. I would vote for Giannis to be honest.
