MY WEEK IN MAKEUP | using the oldest palettes I own

Finally! A week in which technology didn't try to break my spirit. 😂

Also, I think I told you my high for the week, but not my low. The low was finding out my mom had fallen twice, was admitted to the hospital, and was giving the nursing staff a very hard time. She's uninjured, just 91 and full of hellfire and sass.

All of the palettes used, except for the Kaleidos one, can be purchased at Sephora (my affiliate link is below).

The Melt palettes are harder to find. Vida is easier to get your hands on; Muerte is much harder. They did bring it back after swearing for years they wouldn't. Please don't spend $200+ on Poshmark for it!! It's beautiful but it's not worth that price tag.

I love the high/low question, I’ll definitely keep that in mind if I ever have a family of my own.
High: this week, I’ve realized how much Ive grown into being a person I enjoy being
Low: anxiety have been wrecking me all week.

It’s all good though, I’m the happiest I’ve been in years and that’s wonderful. I know I’ve mentioned it before but I love this series and getting a glimpse of your life and being inspired to use products we own. 💙💙

What a relaxing, wonderful video! I love this concept. I work in a professional kitchen n-office environment and after Covid my colorful makeup took a big neutral turn but I’m still loving it. Love to hear highs and lows(love that idea for engaging with your kids too) from someone else with a high stress job who loves makeup ❤

Love these videos and commentaries, Kara! My high was ending Q3 with bringing a few projects to a positive end. Low was/is a sick child right at the start of Easter holidays in Germany.

My high this week was my husband’s neck surgery(3 bulging discs fixed and 4 vertebrae fused). It went wonderfully!
My low was being at the hospital 13 hours on his surgery day nursing my 2nd left hip replacement, walked approx 4 miles and then couldn’t sleep for hours because I was so wound up.

I loved that peachy matte palette but I had to finely toss is bc it was well past its expiration date.

My high for this week was finishing my training for my new banking job and my low was having an absolutely crazy client in my bank's branch the same day as my last day of training and having to put in a report to get his accounts closed 😂 I'm coming from retail so people acting ridiculous is not new to me, I more so felt bad for my manager because she was so upset that I had to deal with him lol

I'm sorry to hear that your Mom is struggling right now but I'm glad she didn't hurt herself!
I have lots of makeup from controversial creators but there's not much you can do after you've already purchased the damn stuff. I know how you feel about showcasing it, but as a regular Joe over here, I feel there's little to no point in either hiding it, or tossing it after the fact. I bet there's not one 100% clean brand owner in the world and if we went exploring, I'm sure most would have something in their closet to be ashamed of. I'm not going to toss everything I own because they are dumb enough to get outted, but I can get behind not purchasing from them again.
High this week was Friday having my kids give me an amazing birthday dinner and a movie (Cocaine bear is ridiculously fun)
Low, the weight of being 50 and single and generally being not great in the head kinda hit me like a ton of bricks. (but I'm ok, just ick)

My High of the week is that I got out for a walk every other day and I've increased my walk to 3km
Low was that I've had a change in medication and I've been extra tired.
