In part 5 of this series of probability videos, I explain the Complements Rule of Probability, which tells us that the probability of an event occurring is one minus the probability of it NOT occurring. There are examples involving dice and cards.

One part of this video that I found helpful was how you explained impossible and guaranteed events. I especially like when you explained that it is impossible to roll a 7 on a six-sided die so rolling a 7 would be an impossible event. It was a simple, but straight forward explanation.

I found the examples of a probability of a complement in this video very helpful especially when you used it to explain the deck of cards. Thank you for going into depth in this video

Thank you for this video, Ms. Hearn! I understood the relationship between an event that will occur versus that event not occurring and the formula that is used.

One new concept I learned from this video was that if I use the formula from the last video and plug the numbers in, it is a much simpler problem than I thought it would be!

Taneisha Murray- I found that counting the number of favorable outcomes helps to calculate the probability of an event.

Something I took away from this video was that the probability of an event not occurring is one minus the probability of the event occurring. I never realized that relationship before, but it makes sense.

Tamasha Mccloud MGF1106/Online I found this video very helpful when you explained the probability of an impossible event . P(E’)=1-P(E) This formula was very helpful as well.

One new concept I learned from this video was that the probability of an event *E* will *not* occur is equal to one minus the probability that it *will* occur.

My take-away from this video is the reminder that the probability of a impossible event will always be zero and to remember that when a question is asked, what is the probability of getting seven on a six-sided die, to remember that a die does not have more than six sides.

My takeaway form this video is if I'm ever doing a my lab question that is dealing with rolling dice it is always convenient to look a the product table for a pair of dice to see all the different possibilities.

One thing I learned about probabilities in this video is how to calculate its complement by 1 since it's between 1 and 0.
