As of 2017, Gordon Ramsay is worth $160 million dollars which makes him the richest and most successful celebrity chef of all-time. He also makes over two-hundred thousand dollars per episode of Hell’s Kitchen. But the money hasn’t completely gone to his head and definitely won’t go to his children’s. #13. ‘It’s Not Ramsay, It’s DiGiornio’- Ramsay may skewer the chefs on Hell’s Kitchen for not respecting the process and cutting corners but in 2009 it was Ramsay himself who was on the receiving end of that criticism. Four of his restaurants were accused by the London newspaper The Sun of using pre-made food. They alleged that some of the most popular cuisine from sausage rolls to fishcakes were made at a food production facility in south London. The most ghastly revelation was that the restaurants were using boil-in-bag coq au vin. “Sacre Bleu!” The restaurant’s defense was that they had to prepare the food this way because their kitchen’s were too cramped. A spokesperson for Ramsay unabashedly said they could have made half of the food in such facilities but would never prepare fresh produce and meat this way. But we wouldn’t be surprised if Ramsay’s face starts showing up next to Uncle Ben and Betty Crocker in the supermarket! .
