In this guide, we show you exactly how to download and install Fabric 1.20.1 in order to use Fabric Minecraft mods. First things first, we should download Fabric. You will find a link in the description above that will take you to our complete text guide on how to download Fabric for Minecraft 1.20.1. That tutorial covers everything you need to know, but once you are there, click the “Download Fabric” button to be taken to the official Fabric download site.

On Fabric 1.20.1’s download page, click the “Download Universal Jar” link. Fabric will then begin downloading. You may need to keep or save Fabric, depending on your browser.

With the Fabric installer downloaded, right-click on it, select “Open With” and select “Java”. Then, click “Okay” and the Fabric Installer will open. After you have your 1.20.1 Fabric mods downloaded, open the Minecraft Launcher. Then, in the Minecraft Launcher, click on the “Installations” tab. Make sure the “Modded” box is checked in the top right, and then hover over the Fabric installation. Click the folder icon that appears to open the .minecraft folder, and then, open your “mods” folder. If you don’t have a mods folder, just create one!

Now, all you need to do to use Fabric Mods in 1.20.1 is drag and drop them into the mods folder. That’s it, and when they have been moved you have installed Fabric mods for 1.20.1!

To actually play Minecraft with Fabric 1.20.1, open the Minecraft Launcher again and play Minecraft using the Fabric installation. You must play Minecraft with your Fabric installation in order for the Fabric mods to work.
