I flew over the bridge last year and this is the latest flight over it. It will probably be the last time I fly over it while it is under construction. Next time I film it will be open. San Francisco to Oakland Bay Bridge.
My dad was the engineer for this project!. Btw March 19 is my birthday. Nice job man

Amazing video! I can't believe that this bridge is almost completed after over 10 years of construction.

Thanks man! May you have many happy birthdays!

It would be perfect if the entire bridge is shown instead of just the suspension sections.

I dont know I would leave the old bay bridge up for a while, you never know a back up way across the bay may come in handy .. and its ready to go in an emergency so I just dont know if they should be rushing to tear it down so quickly

Great video. The jazz in the background is nice. What is the song?

Nightride. The band is called the VIP club.

Part of it has already been demolished to make way for a bike path.

If you were to lose power over the bridge, where would you land your plane? In the water or look for a road/grass on Treasure Island?

This new span is terrible stylewise. The one that crashed in 1989 could safely and easily had been recreated with much stronger steel and more truss work (like post-Tacoma Narrows bridge disaster-you know, the famed November 1940 one) done on suspension bridges including ones already existing at the time. That would have been better...in this case most trussing on the bottom (beneath the lower level.)
